Ellie uses processes of painting, drawing, and photography to create 2D works on canvas, printmaking paper, and photo paper. She explores her own surroundings focusing on public spaces during neighborhood walks, commutes, and errands. Often using an iPhone, film camera, or material from books and the web, she captures the life of spaces and brings it into her studio. Her work processes the way she functions in the world around her as she seeks to experience beauty and a sense of belonging.

Ellie studied visual arts at the University of San Diego and graduated in 2020. She completed the SURE Grant program in 2019. She is now working on individual and group exhibitions and is based in Salem, Oregon
